BON® Flocked Flooring

Vehicle & Marine Interiors

Flocked flooring for vehicle and marine interiors.

Vehicle & Marine Interiors

Coach operators, motorhome and caravan builders and boat fitters want the same things from a floor: something that feels like textile underfoot but copes with wet shoes and spilled drinks, and that can be cleaned in place without lifting it. A flocked floor is built that way: around 80 million nylon 6.6 fibres per square metre bonded to an impervious backing, so spills sit on the surface instead of soaking through.

We supply the floor covering in roll for fitters who cut to their own templates, or as carpet tile, in stock colourways or a custom printed design for a fleet or a model line. One thing to settle first: vehicles and vessels have their own fire standards, separate from the building classification we hold. See the questions below.

What this space needs from a floor.

  • Cleaned in place

Spills and dirt stay on the sealed surface; vacuum, wet-clean or extract without removing the floor.

  • Textile underfoot

A soft, warm surface underfoot instead of a hard, cold one.

  • Cut to your template

Roll supply for fitters who cut their own floor shapes; tile where modular replacement suits better.

  • Your colourway or livery

Stock colourways, or a fleet colour or pattern matched to Pantone or RAL and printed with no tooling cost.

  • The same floor every run

Approved designs stay on file, so a later production run or a replacement piece matches.

Questions for vehicle & marine interiors.

Does the floor meet vehicle or marine fire standards?

We hold the building classification Bfl-s1 to EN 13501-1 (SGS). Vehicles and vessels are tested to their own standards, for example FMVSS 302 or ISO 3795 for road vehicles and the IMO FTP Code for ships, and we do not hold those reports. Tell us the standard your vehicle or vessel has to meet, and we can supply material for your test lab.

Is there a minimum order?

From 500 m² per colour, in a stock colourway or your own printed design.
